I only developed an interest in architecture in the last few years - from needing to design my apartment and learning about the history of buildings on walking tours. The stepped Golden Mile Complex has a historical significance, and in a country where buildings come and go quickly, I'm glad that it is now gazetted as a conserved building. On the final months of closure, we made our way there to admire the structure. It was also my first time using a digital rangefinder and manual focus lens, hence this is a less polished picture - as I try to capture a golden moment in history.
